Like his mythological namesake, Daedelus is an inventor, a creator of sonic labyrinths combining sounds from an eclectic palette into an innovative genre all his own. His music runs the gamut of emotion, alternately intense and mellow, exuberant and melancholy, danceable and introspective. A founding father of the L.A. “Beat Scene,” he has performed over a thousand shows for audiences on five continents, everywhere from Iceland to Istanbul. Each live show is unique, employing unique instruments for on-the-fly improvisation. Panoptes is an new audio visual experience that premiered at Sónar Festival 2018. It creates moving volumetric displays as a surface for lighting and projections. All by spinning a string at varied speeds thus reflecting the light projected onto it. The resulting effect is a blur of multi-colored waveforms, dancing lines, and voluminous beauty.
