Metro is now accepting applications for the position of Fall Promotions Department Office Intern. Serving as an assistant to the promotions department staff, this intern designs and distributes marketing tools throughout the venue, assists on promotional and marketing campaigns, assists publicist, updates social media accounts and works on special projects. You must be creative, self-motivated, bright and possess a love of music. You must have knowledge of Metro’s mission of bringing new emerging music to Chicago, and a love of the live music experience. Knowledge of basic HTML and social networking sites is helpful, though not required. This position is ideal for those seeking careers in music marketing, promotion, publicity at music venues, record labels and management firms. You must be available to begin by Tuesday, September 23 and be able dedicate at least 2 days per week during daytime office hours. This position is unpaid, but interns are encouraged to arrange for academic credit through their schools.
