Metro is now accepting applications for the position of Promotions Department Summer Office Intern. Serving as an assistant to the promotions department staff, this intern designs and distributes marketing tools throughout the venue, assists on promotional and marketing campaigns, assists publicist, updates social networking sites, and works on special projects. This position is ideal for those seeking careers in music marketing, promotion, publicity at music venues, record labels, publicity, management firms. You must be creative, self-motivated, bright and possess a love of music. You must have knowledge of Metro's mission of bringing new emerging music to Chicago, and a love of the live music experience. Knowledge of social networking sites and basic HTML is preferred, but not required. Must be available to start during the first week of June and be able to dedicate at least 2 days per week, during daytime office hours.
