Combining elements from contemporaries like Toro Y Moi, Vulfpeck, Metronomy, and Kero Kero Bonito with the influences of Japanese City Pop and the days of Stax and Philly Soul, Ginger Root offers a fresh take on the ever evolving Bedroom Pop scene.

Ginger Root’s universe is not one-dimensional, but rather full of life that is injected from the visual storytelling that accompanies each song. With City Slicker (2021) and Nisemono (2022), Ginger Root was able to carefully craft EPs that were not meant to be just listened to, but rather consumed like chapters of episodic television.
