Motel Breakfast is a Chicago based band with strong roots throughout the Midwest. Since forming in 2017 they’ve garnered a devoted fanbase, frequently selling out shows throughout the Midwest, and most recently selling out shows in New York City, Washington D.C., and three straight nights in Chicago.Their latest release is “So Long”, recorded in Chicago with producer R. Andrew Humphrey (Twin Peaks, Calpurnia, Sun Cop).
Eight songs clocking in at a head-spinning, 17-minute runtime, OK Cool’s third EP fawn is at heart a direct line into the minds and creative processes of the band’s Bridget Stiebris and Haley Blomquist. It’s a kaleidoscopic stride that showcases the ongoing evolution in their charming union of glistening math rock and fuzzed-out dream pop that the two Chicago shredders have been working on since their inception in 2020.
Neptune’s Core is an alternative indie rock band made of two sets of sisters who are forging their own path and making a big impact on Chicago’s thriving music scene with their captivating and unique sound. Sofie Richter (vocals/guitar), Jackie Cywinski (guitar/vocals), Kaitlin Cywinski (drums), and Hannah Richter (bass) are the members of the bad ass group. Jim DeRogits summed it up best when he said on Sound Opinions, “Their age belies the sophistication of the songwriting and instrumentation … classic alternative era with delicate fragile quiet moments exploding into loud dynamics.”
