And What About the Bells: The Poetry of Rozz Williams
Rozz Williams is best known as the founder of the death rock band Christian Death, but he was also a performance, collage, and film artist, who experimented with numerous musical genres and considered himself primarily a poet.
Nocturna will be opening an hour earlier than usual to present a special celebration of Rozz Williams’ poetry, which will feature live readings of his poems from the book And What About the Bells, from foreword author Zach Shaw and William Faith of Christian Death and Shadow Project.
The reading will include poems from the book that were used for Christian Death’s “Ashes” and “Catastrophe Ballet” albums, as well as a second set of other poems picked by Shaw and Faith.
There will also be a special video introduction and pre-recorded poetry reading by Ryan Wildstar (artist & co-author/editor), as well as several other of Rozz’s close friends.
There will be a small number of the hardcover book And What About the Bells (signed by the editor) as well as a small amount of other limited edition related items available for purchase during Nocturna.
Arrive early for the readings and video at 10:30!
